Comic Book Wedding Program

Exclusive interview with THE JAPANESE POPSTARS

We have extensively discussed in recent days of The Japanese Popstars , the trio of Northern Ireland, which will arrive Thursday, March 3 for the first time in Italy at the Mill and propose a performance that promises to be explosive. And, as usual, CTRL lose control and want to introduce you to know who these three DJs in Belfast.

Interview by Danielantonio Di Palma - Translated by Mark Daretti

Who listens to the first can not help but think a group from the Far East. Anything to do with the East, with "Shinichi Osawa and co.." In one joke, why is your name so ?

Well, simply because "The Irish Popstars" did not sound as "exotic"!

Who are the Japanese Popstars? Dj three or more?

The Japanese Popstars are essentially a live act. Everything we do is designed with the idea of playing and our music in a live situation, whether in a club, or is a festival for 20,000 people does not matter. We all started as a dj and this helped us to get an idea of what works in the sphere club and we always keep in mind when we write music or remix.

So, as you anticipated, you have a particular attitude: Your music seems to be intended for large spaces, then theaters, stadiums etc.etc. A targeted selection, or you discovered that your sounds are better "assimilated" to that type of audience?

Basically we write the music that we dance when we go to a club to hear a DJ. They are our influences and our background that helps us to focus on how the music should sound. What are the

groups and DJs who have greatly influenced your production?

We have three kinds of different flavors, as in three. Some of the artists who put us all agree are Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Underworld, Sasha, I would say that these are the major influences. They can also apply this speech: they are just dj or can be considered as "groups" who play live?

What is the best club in which you played the festival and who has sent more vibrations?

Fuji Rock in Japan was memorable! See 10,000 ravers Japanese feet of a mountain, that are literally crazy to our music was something I will always remember!

The experience of the first album, "We Just Are" has now changed?

It allowed us to take things more professionally and leave our work
concentrate on writing music full-time, rather than trying to find a place to put the music
between our jobs Monday through Friday ...

After the success of the first disc, and even before the official release on the web, now all expect a breakthrough. In my opinion, after hearing the first two singles "Controlling Your Allegiance" (Let go and Destroy), enriched by guests of luxury (Green Velvet and J. Spencer), has already happened.

Thanks! Working with several vocalists on the album has allowed us to explore various levels of writing music and we hope this will be appreciated by all who will listen to us!

Many onlookers and fans of electronic music made you wonder how your tracks eq HAT instrumentation usually used in the study.

I remix targati The Japanese Popstars. Molti, tutti ben prodotti: dai Groove Armada, agli Editors, ma anche Beyonce, Depeche Mode e il nostro connazionale Benny Benassi.

Usually we choose the piece remix based on two criteria: 1) we like this music? 2) We are able to remix the song? For example, we wonder if there is anything in the original track, or on which we can use to work that can adapt to our comunqe
sound. I must say that we were really fortunate to remix artists whose fans have always been like Depeche Mode, Editors or even superstars like Beyonce and Kylie!

This is the first time in Rome. What do you expect the public to the Mill?

It 's the same thing in each new place, namely: non sappiamo mai cosa aspettarci! Speriamo solo che il pubblico si divertirà e si lascerà andare quando sentirà la nostra musica: adoriamo quando la gente “sbrocca” durante il nostro set!!

Parliamo del futuro. Cosa c'è in cantiere?
